Will Take Charge had the top filly during Tuesday’s opening session of the Oct. 10-11 2017 Ocala Breeders’ Yearling Sale in Florida when de Meric Stables went to $230,000 to secure hip No. 121.

Consigned by Stuart Morris, agent, the bay is out of Final Heiress, who is a sister to champion sire and Grade 1 winner Wildcat Heir, multiple Graded stakes winner Forest Heiress, and the stakes winners The Hunk and Forest Heir.

Will Take Charge has been one of the hottest sires whose first crop are yearlings this year at the 2017 sales. With 60 individuals sold to date, his total yearling average of $173,400 tops all freshman sires
