The Aug. 7-8 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings wrapped up on Tuesday evening with more excellent results for first-year sire Will Take Charge, with two more lots selling for at least $250,000.

The Three Chimneys stallion had a total of seven individuals sell for an average of $313,571, while his 2017 yearling sales average of $274,444 leads all Freshman Sires standing in North America.

Leading the way on Tuesday was hip No. 227, a colt consigned by Four Star Sales, agent, and purchased by JSM Equine. The colt’s dam, Louisiana Times, is a half-sister to Vagrancy H. (G2) winner Hour Glass, as well as two other stakes winners.

Hip No. 119, a filly consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, went to trainer Gary Contessa, agent. The chestnut filly is out of the Tapit mare Anchorage and is from the same family as prolific sire Broken Vow and champion Forever Together.
