The first foals from Three Chimneys stallion Fast Anna have been greeted with enthusiastic response from both their breeders and Three Chimneys’ Director of Stallion Nominations and Sales Grant Williamson.
Fast Anna, who was bred to 120 mares in 2016, was arguably the best-bred horse to enter stud last year. A son of Medaglia d’Oro out of the champion 2-year-old filly Dreaming of Anna, Fast Anna has three millionaires and five multiple graded stakes winners under his first three dams, including the multiple champion sire Kitten’s Joy.
Williamson has seen the quality of their sire in many of Fast Anna’s first foals. “His first crop have the same look as their impeccably-bred sire. They are very athletic with great power and length.”
Among some of Fast Anna’s first arrivals are a pair of closely-related colts bred by Three Chimneys, out of Hit the Limit and Touch the Moon (pictured). Both mares are out of the Touch Gold mare Touch Here, who is a half-sister to Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Summerly.
Stud TNT, LLC bred another recent arrival, a filly out of Awesome Gift. The filly’s third dam is former Broodmare of the Year Cara Rafaela, a Grade 1 winner for Stud TNT and the dam of champion Bernardini.
Fast Anna is standing this year at Three Chimneys for a fee of $7,500 stands and nurses.
