Three Chimneys Farm’s Grade 1 performer Fast Anna got his first foal Jan. 24, when a colt bred by Mike and Laura Sivo was born at Woodford Thoroughbreds Farm in Kentucky.

The colt is out of the stakes performer Dixieland Bull, a daughter of champion and Hall of Famer Holy Bull. Dixieland Bull’s dam Placid Star won four stakes in seven starts, while her third dam Lt. Lao won or placed in 19 stakes and set two track records.

“We are delighted with this strong, sizable colt. So much so, that we booked the mare straight back to Fast Anna,” said Mike Sivo.

Fast Anna, a son of leading sire Medaglia d’Oro out of champion Dreaming of Anna, burst on the racing scene with a pair of explosive wins at Gulfstream Park, including a 13-length allowance win. He turned in a stellar performance in the King’s Bishop S. (G1), just his third lifetime start, when he was beaten just a neck by The Big Beast.
Versatile enough to also win a stakes on the turf, Fast Anna retired to Three Chimneys in late 2015 with a record of 3-2-2 in nine starts, seven of them in stakes races.

Fast Anna stands at Three Chimneys for $7,500 live foal stands and nurses.
