Funtastic Again romped to a 5 ½-length victory on Dec. 2 at Turfway Park to give the 2-year-old son of Funtastic his second win in four lifetime starts.
Owned by Three Chimneys Farm, the chestnut colt was much the best in his first try over a synthetic track. He was 1 ½-lengths clear of the field at the half-way point and widened his margin from there to cover the mile in 1:37.25.
Funtastic Again’s record now stands at 2-0-0 in four starts with earnings of $110,190. He broke his maiden by 6 ½-lengths in an off-the-turf event on Aug. 27 at Saratoga.
Bred in Kentucky by BHMFR, LLC, Funtastic Again is one of four winners out of Repeta, who is also the dam of stakes winner Mucho Del Oro. Repeta had a Volatile filly this year.
Funtastic Again, who will stand at Three Chimneys for $5,000 S&N in 2023, also got his first graded stakes horse over the weekend when First Peace placed in the $100,000 Cecil B. Demille S. (G3) at Del Mar.
