A colt from the first crop of classic winner Palace Malice brought a winning bid of $185,000 during Wednesday’s session of the 2017 Keeneland November Sale, which runs Nov. 7-18.
The dark bay colt, hip No. 319, was consigned by Valkyre Stud, agent, and went to Khalid Mishref.
The Kentucky-bred is out of the Saint Ballado mare Saintlike, making him a half-brother to stakes winner Heart of a King and the stakes-placed Nocknonheavensgate.
Palace Malice, who was bred to 275 mares in 2016-17, will stand at Three Chimneys in 2018 for a fee of $20,000 stands and nurses.
