Voila Magic drew off to a 5 ¾-length victory Oct. 25 at Keeneland to become the second TDN Rising Star for top-10 First-Crop sire Volatile.
The gray/roan colt dueled through the first half-mile with Acknowledge before drawing clear entering the stretch. He extended her lead down the lane all the way to the wire to finish the 6 ½-furlongs on a fast track in 1:17.50.
The winner is owned by Three Chimneys Farm, Whispering Oaks Farm LLC and Coteau Grove Farms, the latter also her breeder. Voila Magic is out of Silverbulletday S. winner Touch Magic and is a half-brother to nine-time stakes winner and Louisiana Horse of the Year Touchuponastar.
Volatile is the sire of 16 individual winners thus far in 2024, including the Grade 1-placed duo of Tip Top Thomas and Incentive Pay. Three Chimneys recently announced that Volatile will stand the 2025 season for $12,500 LFSN.
